Carson is one of our lead instructors here at HHD as well as the fitness coach and program head for our new High Performance Plus sector. He has half a decade of experience in on-ice training working hands on with elite clinics in Toronto and the Niagara Falls area. Specifically teaching edge work, power skating, shooting, bodychecking, and other high-level skills that were taught to him through training with, as well as working alongside high level trainers. This includes his time with the Central Hockey Academy’s High Performance Program, run in Toronto, where he coached athletes ranging from Junior, Major Junior, and NCAA levels, both on and off the ice. This program, in 2020 alone, helped promote 20+ players to varying levels of Junior, Major Junior and NCAA Hockey. Working in settings that often-included players at the Junior, Major Junior, NCAA, Pro, and semi-Pro levels, Carson has refined his own game and taken with him valuable lessons to pass on to the next generation of elite hockey players.
Carson is a prospective talent for professional hockey, looking into signing a contract for the 2023/2024 season. He is coming off a successful four years of college ACHA Division I hockey with Niagara University, winning two regular season and two division playoffs in the NECHL, as well as playing in three national championships. Carson also played three years of Jr. A hockey in both the NOJHL and the NCDC.
Carson graduated in the spring of 2023 from Niagara University with his BSc in Sport Management and Operations. During the course of his education, he has taken exercise physiology, human biology, and nutrition courses to help him further his knowledge of training on and off the ice. He is currently working towards completing the NASM-CPT, one of the most sought-after personal training certifications. His passion for health and fitness has motivated him to start our new High Performance Plus sector, where he will work closely with athletes to help them reach their true potential and take that next step in their hockey career.
